Individual pain thresholds vary due to several factors, including genetics, hair thickness, hair quantity, frequency of visits and personal pain tolerance. At Nude, we only use premium hard wax (no strip wax), paired with excellent technique to ensure an efficient and painless experience.
At Nude, our premium wax and technique will not cause sagging. Skin sagging can be caused by weak or damaged muscles, a loss of fat and collagen due to age, and the use of strip wax or poor waxing skills.
Nude’s therapists are extremely professional and will make you feel completely at ease. For a Bikini wax, you have an optional disposable thong. For a Brazilian wax, the hair around your backside will also be removed. Please inform the therapist if it is your first time so she can put you at ease. TIP: Book with a friend to help calm nerves.
RESULTS
Depending on the amount of hair you have, our Brazilian wax takes between 15-30 minutes.
A male Brazilian wax(or Manzilian / Boyzilian) takes about 45 minutes on average.

A bad wax is usually due to poor salon hygiene, bad waxing technique, and/or low-quality wax that can leave you with irritation, fast re-growth, ingrown hairs, and is usually painful during and after the treatment. In the worst case, you may end up with bleeding and infections. At Nude, we take pride in our technique, products, hygiene standards and customer service to ensure the best waxing experience in HK.
SUITABILITY
Yes, pregnancy is not a problem even until your due date. However some might experience a little more sensitive than usual.
It is best not to have a wax during your menstrual cycle. Not only is it messy but it tends to be more painful as your skin is more sensitive.
We typically recommend that you are at least 14 years old for any waxing or hair-removal services and come with a parent or guardian.

If you have skin rashes, open wounds, severe breakouts or sunburn, avoid waxing until your skin heals. It’s important to ask your doctor before waxing if you are diabetic or using any prescription-strength acne medication. Additionally, you shouldn’t have a Brazilian wax if you have an STD, UTI or an abnormal discharge.
PREPARATION
& AFTERCARE
As long as you can pinch your hair with your fingers, it should be long enough to wax. We recommend around ¼ to ½ inch of hair growth before booking another wax.
The average timeline falls between 3 – 7 weeks, depending on your hair re-growth rate and the frequency of your visits. Typically, most customers visit us monthly.
Getting intimate after a Brazilian wax is not a problem. However, if you have sensitive skin, it is recommend to wait for a day or two as your skin might be extra sensitive and friction could aggravate the area.
It is recommended to avoid swimming and the gym for a couple of days, as your pores are open and susceptible to infection. It’s also best to avoid wearing tight clothes for at least 24 hours as friction can also irritate your skin.
Typically, you should wait a few hours before having a shower. If you tend to get ingrown hairs it is vital to gently exfoliate about 3-5 days after your wax, and then every other day when it starts to grow out.
