If the area has any rashes, open wounds, severe breakouts or sunburn, avoid waxing until your skin heals. It’s important to inform your therapist if you are diabetic or using any prescription-strength acne medication. These products will peel and thin the skin, making it highly sensitive and easier to break.

As long as you can pinch your hair with your fingers, it should be long enough to wax. We recommend at least ¼ inch (5mm) of hair growth before booking a wax.

It is recommended to avoid swimming (especially in ocean water) and the gym for at least 24 hours as your pores are still open and susceptible to infection. It’s also best to avoid wearing tight clothes after the appointment as the friction can also irritate your skin.

After waxing, you can go straight into your daily routine. Within 3-5 days it is highly advised to start exfoliating 2-3 times a week especially during the hair re-growth stage to avoid ingrown hairs.
